Michelle was instrumental in helping to establish the Rural Health Alliance Aotearoa New Zealand and was appointed its founding Chief Executive in September 2013. She is an experienced chief executive and senior manager who has provided services to a range of health sector organisations including the New Zealand Rural General Practice Network, the PHO Alliance, General Practice New Zealand, Compass Health, Southern Cross and Kowhai Health Trust. Michelle has also held management roles with Victoria University and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. She holds an Economics degree from Victoria University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Primary Health Care from Otago University and is a Member of the Institute of Directors. Michelle lives on a farm in Waipukurau running cattle, a few alpacas (not for eating) and her much loved dog, Floyd.
